DECEMBER EVENT, STONECREEK GOLF CLUB, DEC. 15, 12:00 SHOTGUN START:
It was cold and damp, with a slight drizzle for the last 2 hours or so, but the field persevered and played at a good pace of 4 ½ - 5 hours. Scores were pretty good, too. Stonecreek was in great condition, and the staff and service were excellent. We will go back again, probably in early 2010. Thanks to all who participated in the raffle, and thanks to Loren Foye and Chip Garriss for their hard work at making it a success. We raised over $700 for junior golf in memory of Les Wimp. Tooshay!

JANUARY TOURNAMENT, ARROWHEAD C.C., JAN 12, 12:30 SHOTGUN START:
Get your entry in for Arrowhead ASAP. The field will likely fill quickly. This is a great course!

THIS AND THAT:
As of Jan. 1, we are implementing a new guest policy. Guests may play as often as they like as a "non-member". They will pay $25 extra per event. After playing 5 times in less than a 12-month period, they will be classified as a paid member, with annual dues payable one year after their 1st event as a guest.

Remember, our long-standing cancellation policy is still in effect. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the event are non-refundable.

Please see below for a list of players who qualified for the Tournament of Champions in January. Congratulations! You will receive an entry form and details by email.

Also below, please note the raffle prizes that were not claimed. If you are listed, please contact Loren at (480) 893-8570, and arrange to claim your prize.

Hope to see y'all at Arrowhead C.C.,

SLOW PLAY vs. READY GOLF:

1. When it is your turn, you should be ready to swing. If you are not ready, other players should hit.

2. A player hitting a questionable ball should hit a provisional ball before leaving the teeing ground. Only the player who hit the questionable ball should be looking for it. All others should play their shots before looking for the lost ball. Five minute time starts when the first player begins looking for the ball.

3. Each golf cart should go directly to your first ball. Drop a player off and go to the next ball.

4. After you hit, get in the cart. You can put your club away when you arrive at the next ball being played.

5. When on the green, you should have read your putt and be ready to play when it is your turn.

6. Use continuous putting on the putting green. Do not mark your ball after your first putt. Mark ball only if you will be standing in someone's line. Otherwise, just putt out.

7. Mark scores on the next tee. If it is your turn to hit, mark scores after you hit.

8. Most important....Keep up with the group ahead of you.
